The workshops conducted by Ms. Sarita from Maanas The Inside Story in Anand Niketan Bhadaj Campus proved to be very fruitful for teachers. The sessions for the teachers, whereby she laid stress on the personality development of a child taking into consideration, the various components required for the same. She conducted various activities to create awareness among the teachers about the various roles they play in shaping the life of a child. The workshop was very interactive and proved to be an eye opener for the teachers.
The Parenting workshops conducted by Ms. Shilpa largely focused on the problems faced by the parents of the children of the age group 3-6. The parents were given solutions to their problems related to behavior, over-friendliness and over-indulgence by the grandparents.
We would like to thank Ms. Sarita and Ms. Shilpa of Maanas Team as both the workshops were very productive and we look forward to many such opportunities to interact with her and enrich our understanding of the students and their problems.
Psychology Department of St Xavier's College, Ahmedabad runs a UGC approved certificate course called Career Oriented Program (COP) for counseling. This course has 20 credits of completing 300 hours in total. We invite experts from various fields of psychology to teach across the year. We have been inviting Maanas Faculties since the time of its conception 7 years ago, namely Ms Kirtane and Ms Shah to facilitate the students' self awareness process. Their contribution in terms of their skills and work efficiency has been excellent and has helped students progress remarkably. Their teaching style is very unique and creative and our students are very satisfied with them. They do their work with passion and complete the teaching and evaluation on time and are very committed to teaching.
